Background
With over a decade of experience in clinical settings, I have a vast array of therapeutic knowledge stemming from my work with diverse clientele. I started my career as a masters-level school psychologist providing services to young children and their families in school systems. In more recent years, as a licensed mental health counselor, I have expanded my scope to working with clients in both community mental health and private practice. I have primarily shifted my focus to serving adults presenting with a range of clinical issues, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, phase of life issues and transitions, relational and/or martial issues, trauma, and self-esteem. Drawing from all of these different clinical experiences, I pride myself on bringing an authenticity to my work and will meet my clients with honesty, respect, and a genuine heart.
Education and Training
I received my first masters degree in School Psychology from Fordham University. I continued my training by obtaining a certificate in Applied Positive Psychology through the NY Open Center in Manhattan. My most recent graduate studies include a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from New York University. I have conducted presentations on mental health for educators and have served as a guest speaker in graduate social work courses at my undergraduate alma mater, Fairfield University.
